Wound Awareness Week 2021

Wound Awareness Week is celebrated from the 23rd to the 29th August 2021.

Wound Awareness Week is a chance for all of us to stop and think about healing wounds. Over 420 000 Australians suffer from a chronic wound every year. The warning signs of a chronic wound are:

  • Pain and heat
  • Smell
  • Slow healing
  • Excess fluid

A chronic wound can be healed with the right treatment. We can help you with that treatment.

Our District Nursing Service has been operating for over 40 years. Our staff are trained and qualified in wound management. They continue to provide in-home care during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. Click here to find out more about our District Nursing Service.

Our Foot Wound clinic provides specialist care to those people who need advanced wound care. Our Podiatrists have a special interest in treating foot wounds and are qualified. Click here to find out more about our Foot Wound clinic.

You can call Nexus Primary Health on 1300 77 33 52 if you would like more information about our services. Click here to find out more about Wound Awareness Week.

Nexus can help you stay ‘Wound Aware’.
